Why Pray?

Why Pray

Ezekiel 22:30 (ESV) ~ And I sought for a man among them who should build up the wall and stand in the breach before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

The great need of today is for men and women, boys and girls, to take a stand and stand in the gap between God and the human race. Surveying the human race must cut God’s heart to the core, for what he sees is heartbreaking. The wicked behavior of people has corrupted His beautiful creation.

The world today desperately needs people of character, integrity, courage, and compassion. There is a crying need for Christians who will speak out for the Lord, stand firmly upon His Holy Word, and courageously proclaim the desperate need for righteousness. Righteousness is the foundation of a strong society, and God longs for a people who will take the gospel to the ends of the earth.

  • God is searching for men and women who will stand in the gap between Him and this world.
    • Psalm 106:23 (ESV) ~ Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.
  • God is searching for men and women who will commit their lives totally to Him and bear strong witness to His saving grace.
    • Luke 9:23 (ESV) ~ And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
    • John 15:16 (ESV) ~ You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
  • God is searching for men and women who will obey His Holy Word and live lives of righteousness no matter what their profession or work.
