Not Flesh and Blood

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 ~ “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

The believer IS in a spiritual warfare. Scripture is perfectly clear about this:

Ephesians 6:12 ~ “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Believers know that the evil forces of the spiritual world lie behind …
 * Sin and Evil
 * Disorder and Devastation
 * Corruption and Deterioration
 * Death and Hell

Note that in Verse 5, we see that the believer cast down imaginations: thought and imaginations that are uncontrolled, wild, evil, lustful, immoral, unjust, wrong, untrue, devilish, and set against God.

Note that in Verse 5, we see that the believer cast down every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God: false ideas about God, false doctrine, false teaching, false reasoning; the human pride and arrogance, self-sufficiency and self-righteousness that set themselves up against God.

Note that in Verse 5, we see that the believer seeks to captivate every thought to the obedience of Christ: This is the spiritual objective of the true Christian believer.

Philippians 4:8 ~ “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
